If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make contact with our Healthcare Assistant, Lucy to discuss your travel arrangements.  You will be asked to complete a travel questionnaire detailing which countries and areas you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. Following this an appointment will be arranged with the Practice Nurse at the Travel Clinic.  You may wish to complete the travel health questionnaire available for downloading at the bottom of this page, in advance.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible  - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to have your vaccines administered.  Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Most routine travel vaccinations are issued to patients via a prescription which should be taken to the chemist for dispensing.  It is your responsibility to store the vaccines in line with the manufactures guidance until  they are administered by the Practice Nurse at the second appointment.  When the Nurse is required to give advice regarding certain areas of travel and vacciniations outside normal NHS work, a charge will be made for this service.
