Access to Allied Health Professionals

The Practice also has access to a full range of Radiology, Laboratory, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Speech and Language, Community Psychiatry Services and Social Services.

Maternity Services

All doctors in the Practice provide full antenatal and postnatal care.

The attached midwife is Mrs Margaret Sharp who operates weekly antenatal clinics.

 Contraceptive Services

A full range of family planning care is available from any of the doctors. Emergency contraceptive services are also provided when required.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.  There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible  - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to have your vaccines administered.  Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Most routine travel vaccinations are issued to patients via a prescription which should be taken to the chemist for dispensing.  It is your responsibility to store the vaccines in line with the manufactures guidance until  they are administered by the Practice Nurse at the second appointment.  When the Nurse is required to give advice regarding certain areas of travel and vacciniations outside normal NHS work, a charge will be made for this service.
